I’m Irene. My path into yoga began quietly, long before I ever imagined myself teaching it.

From a young age, I felt naturally drawn to self-awareness, inner exploration and a deeper connection with nature and the world around me. After years of personal practice, I eventually chose to leave a career unrelated to yoga and follow a path that had quietly been calling me for a long time.

That path led me to Rishikesh, India, where I immersed myself in the traditional practice and philosophy of Hatha Yoga, completing my teacher training in an ashram.

Returning to Athens, I continued my training in Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, and trained in Yoga for Kids alongside. My own study continues through meditation, sound and the philosophy of yoga.

Through Aura Shanti, I share Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, together with meditation. Some practices invite movement and strength, while others lead towards stillness, rest and a deeper awareness of the inner world.

My teaching is rooted in respect for the traditions and teachings I encountered in India, while continuing to evolve through study, personal practice and experience. I don’t see yoga as something fixed. It changes with us and can offer us something different each time. A space to listen and to observe.

This is also the intention behind Aura Shanti: a space where we can slow down, turn our attention inward, and connect with our higher self and with what surrounds us.

ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः Om Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ

Peace from within.
Peace from what surrounds us.
Peace from what lies beyond our control.
